Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
due to repair at the caractere-bump, i had to search for a replacement
and did i find one?
ooh yeah
check this out
how do i call my car now?
it's not a jetta anymore and it's not a golf.
so if anyone has a sugestion, let me know.
(it's still missing some parts, but i'll have them tomorrow,
+ don't watch the color-difference, this one is just for in need, but he'l be painted in the right color in the future)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
thanks to caractere for already supplying me for the needed conversion parts.
and because the front hood is cleaned i coulden't place the original jetta-bump, and used my caractere-grille.
and here's some damage-controle, after 1,5 month
left side

right side

and then some people here in belgium say i don't drive low enough!!!!
they don't get this is a daily.
when i have all the parts in, i'll post some new pics.

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
picked up the front bump yesterday,
and some other goodies
i replaced my original headlights with the xenon, with oem gti headlights.
and painted the phaeton wheels black
changed the front tyres from a 225/40/18 to a 215/40/18 pirelli to gain some space in the wheelarch, so i can drop him thet last little bit if i want to.
(i had to paint them , coz my dad drove around on them for 2 weeks on his golf 5 and scrathed one of them, wasen't bad but needed some paint. and since i diden't liked the silver anymore )
placed everything today, and i got this effect.

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
hey guys
got the rear adjusment screw removed this week and replaced with the original part,
droped him about a mm 5 not much,
but just enough so yiou can see it.
this is how it looks with nobody inside
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
and this is with one person
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
saterday i drove around with 4 people inside, i coulden't do more than 90 on the freeway, because the tyres sarted to scrape in the wheelarches.
this is a small up,
but in a few weeks i'll have a bigger, bought me another trunklid to clean
but i'll keep you posted

vdub_shawty wrote:hey ahvent seen you around on here or jettamkv, you ok??
yeah i'm fine
just a bit busy
working at my brothers car
he had the doors cleaned and the trunk, and the antenna removed from the roof, and the front wing sidemarkers, picked him up on thursday (last week) and had to prep him for painting on saturday. ill post some pics 2morrow.
and thinking about placing 19's again
can't get used 2 running on 18's
only the ones i would like to purchase are...
passat 3c r36 wheels (kinda like the new r32 wheels but in 19)
9 x 19 et40
i think they would be slammin
but i don't know if they would fit, if they come 2 wide i could become a magnet for the police, and the ones overhere don't laugh with it, if they don't like you they can realy screw you. and overhere we are so limited in "tuning". it's really f**ked up
so if anyone is interested is phaeton performance wheels 8,5 x 18
with 215/40/18 pirelli's (front)
and 225/40/18 nexen's (rear)
and 2 nexen tyres i have in my bassement are included.
if the 19s aren't good ill keep the 18's, or if someone gives me a good offer, then they go out the door.
@ vdub; i know what you're gonna say, but the search for wheels is long and hard, and is hoping finnaly coming to an end
btw, if anybody knows the english golf 5 on the bentley wheels could you ask something for me?
i think the wide of the wheels is also 9, but i need to know on witch et?
because that should not be so much different that the r36 wheels.
and those wheels don't come to wide on that golf.

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
@vdub yes your right it would be 3, how could i forget her stupid me.
and for the pics you'l have to wait until i get them, the guy who sells them is from halfway holland just that little to far for stepping in your car and getting overthere. but he's coming to belgium (for family or something) and then he's gonna bring them with him, so until then it's waiting for that delibirating phonecall. but as soon as i can i will post them.
but i can't wait myself either.
if you'ld like i could post some pics of the wheels but i think you all know the r36 wheels?
@07jettamk5, yeah i know but if been very busy at my bro's project i'll post some pics 2morrow. and i'll try to keep up in the future

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
you better like them, coz they will be the last
after the wheels i will just compleet her by some small details
like removing rear vw emblem
and finishing some other stuff
after that if i ever change anything on a car it will be my fathers, (jetta frontbump on his golf) or my brothers car,
and maybe in the future (if i find a place to put it) my own personal bug
completly original but slammed to the floor, and i'm talking no air.

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
ok the jetta is finally running on the r36 wheels
and i got to say they look mighty fine
but eversince pics say more than words
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
diden't had the time to screw him up so placed some bumpstops,
and the problem was half solved
(stil rub a bit at al 4 wheels but in 2 days i wil have the rearperch replaced and a can adjust him, think i'll have to go a little up, coz when i arrived at the meet today there was rubber hanging on the rearleft wheelarch can't stay this way, even if it looks nicer this low)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
just outside of the body
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
the first thing the guy asks me when he sees my car;
do you have air-ride?
my answer;
what kind of idiot uses that?
he told me the roads in holland are not so good besides the freeways, so there it woulden't be easy for me 2 drive around there
btw here's a pic of a friend of mine's a4 avant, this is what you could say f**k airride
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
he's awaiting his new rims bbs lemans (replica) but in 8,5 and 9,5 on 19 (can't find the 9,5 easy in replica)
