Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
thx mate
i've actualy never seen a front bump like mine, it's just a caractere bump cleaned, and i maybe know why now.
he's pu-rim one of the most difficult products to clean, if it's plastic pu or pe you could melt it with pu-rim you can't
and for the rs4's they where one of my most best combo's with black wheels, but they rubbed more then my 9x19 + they had 215/35/18 tyres and diden't filled the wheelarches nice up
and in total these are my 6th set
originals
8,5x19's g-force
8x18's rs4
8,5x18's pheatons
6,5x16's retro beetle wheels incl beetlecovers 1950's type
and last but def not least
the 9x19's r36 wheels
these are the best i ever had, just can't get enough of her now
and the phaeton's get as econd life on my fathers g5, but he wants them repainted, he's oldskool an d thinks wheels only can be nice in silver

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
so whos the oldest?? im not so sure about those wheels, but i do like both your cars!!
Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
he's 11 months older
that still makes me the youngest one
(most benefits )
and for the complete sight of the wheels you'l have 2 wait until he's fully dropped again
here's an example
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
and the wheels he bought are 8,5 in front and 9,5 rear but they are fitted with 235/35/19 tyres, and in the front that's not enough stretched
the only problem he has is, wheels for his car have to be 4*108 and the wheels he bought are 5*112, but he's got special adaptorplates so he can fit them.
he's frontbump is ready but needs to be fitted, hes sideskirts need some xtra luv and paint
and the rearbump is in production, only productions is a bit quiet because the guy who is making him, has been a bit busy with his wheel-fetisched car

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
for the new pics you'ld have to wait until he has his new jumpbolts, or however you cal it, bolt's that can move about 1,25mm, because of the diff pcd

this is my favorit pic

no needs for words.
btw
the jetta is currently ridin high and dry, because of technical inspection, overhere if you change anything of the suspension you have to let the tech inspection check it out, if it's done properly and if it's alligned, but you need 9cm free space under the car, and 2 get that i had to screw him 7.5cm above so for now she isn't a pretty sight, plus the caractere bump is removed, due 2 the same prob i had the last time, hope it's the last time. (when you do everthing yourself mistakes happen)
and the silver part is beeing completly repainted in .....
black, recommend by my dad, he thinks in combo with the gti front lights it would be better, and after a lot of consideration i had 2 give it 2 him.
and because i pimped his golf he's glad to do it
here some pics of he's ride
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
now i keep telling him he need 2 lower him, but he's 50 and needs some comfort he says, 2 bad for the car

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
very nice, tell your brother i love his car and new rims!! i would love to see both of these in person!!! but damn your dad needs to lower his car!!!
Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
that's exactly what i told him, but he refuses. and i can't blame him he would destroy him after 2 days, he thinks a lowered car is the same as an original, and just drives like he's used 2.
btw, since my car was lowered he only drove him for 2 times and that was in an emergency.
and seeing them in person is possible, youre only what? about 10000 km away.....

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
went today 2 the technical inspection for the lowering, past it without any problem.
the only thing that keeps me from dropping it again, is the clutch.
it's been making some noise, for about 3 weeks, and the garage thinks it's the clutch, incl flywheel and stuff
so made an apointment for next week and hope it will be fixed then,
i'm thinking about removing the rearperch again.
just low and slow
also placed the retrowheels again, so the garage won't damage the r36 wheels.

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
yep next week wednesday it's garage time, the only thing that's f**ked is that i'm out of the waranty, so ill have to pay a small bit of the price, but the garage sayed the were gonna see what they could do, because they are closing the 1st october.
btw the pheaton wheels will probably be exchanged for 17's classicx jetta wheels, that will be better for my dad than the black ones
