50's gangsta car
wheels are finished,
and i goota say, looks good
it's just a 50's gangsta car
c 4 yourself
these are original beetle wheelcovers the oldest i found
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
droped him back a cm lower in the front, did a test tour and then it turned out a scraped the floor everywhere,
cause the 3 screws that hold the bottomplate where missing
(it where the 3 screws that are almost under the dash)
probably i most have lost them somewhere.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
the only problem i have now, is that the wheelcover are so round they come outside the bodywork, but it's a price i am willing to pay

ps, due to my car, another costumer of the garage i go to, bought a caractere kit for his jetta v, he wanted to see pics of a real jetta with the kit instead of the brochure, soo the garage phoned me for some pics, and their second caractere kit was sold.

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
glad you guys like it,
had a minor setback today,
due to an ambulance and a smal street, i had to drive onto the sidewalk to make place for it, and damaged a whitewall
it was riped for about 2cm or so,
lucky me the shop where i bought them was open today so i could replace it very quick.
so i diden't have to cancel the meet of tomorrow.

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
are you kidding me, the only time i will screw him up, will be for technical inspection, and that not before the end of next year,
the only way he can go now, is to the bottom.
my brother is already on my back to lower him even more, he's even crazy'er than my , his smacked hes front of his car way below mine, but he can only adjust the front
glad you like the roofrack

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
got me some authentic retro sh*t
a guy from work his father in law used to be a milkman in the 80's
but died a few years ago, but his wife still had some of his stuff.
lucky for me
now i'm in possesion of a original 1960's milkbarrel of 40l.
and i'm gonna polish it completly,
so this weekend i'll know what to do.
remove the old lacker and start sanding it.
ill post some pics of it 2morrow

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
thats freakin awesome congrats i hope you post something up quickly that would be awesome!!! congrats on that, but sorry for the loss of the family.
Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
@vdub: i'll tell the guy, btw he past away a few years ago. so i think he's already over it
now some bad news,
gonna remove the front bump this weekend for repairworks,
some of the parts i cleaned started to work and made some ugly bumps
and when i drove my car into the parkinglot i rent, i accidently scratched him 2. stupid me, tried to be to fast, never good.
so it's back to original, my dad is gonna help me to fix him real fast, so it's only gonna be week, it's just to bad that the car my father bought still has to go true technical inspection otherwise i'd be rollin on an orginal golf v front bump. but that may become a winter-up

Re: tim's jetta, on 19's OEM r36 wheels
i polished the tophat today in about 2 hours
can you see the difference?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
now it's not perfect, but i't will do for a retro object
here's the difference between chroom and polished
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
next week i'm starting on the can itself, and i'm gonna order some softer polish-discs. so can remove the smallest scratches.
