Wheels?
Ok guys, I need some new wheels for my Bora, but not got a lot of cash to spend. I been looking at the Fox 16" R3's or R6's. What do you think?

Re: Wheels?
In my opinion, the R3's would look better, however you may want to consider something more than 16". Standard Bora wheels are 16" so you would have to have the sme fat tyres on them. I'd suggest 17" or 18", although these do get more expensive.
Re: Wheels?
Welcome aboard buddy would have to agree wiv MK the bora is a big car really too big for the 16s in many cases you can buy 17s for the price of 16s if iwere you id have a dig about on the net or in PVW you can get some cracking mail order deals at the mo especialliy on replicas etc keep us updated on the choice buddy
Re: Wheels?

Re: Wheels?
I know that 17's are better, but i figure that 16's would look ok when i drop her a bit. Trouble is, i've got 2 front tyres needing replacing, & could really do with getting them now. As i said, money is a bit tight as my 2 wonderful kids seem to take most of it.
The 17's are £100 more & i'm gonna need a new clutch soon too....

Re: Wheels?
just lower it on the standard rims for now, it'll look dope , mine did. Then put a bit aside and get your wheels at a later date. Or just buy my 16's off me with new tyres ??
Re: Wheels?
Yeah, that was was my other option Nath.
Just don't wanna buy wheels that i may end up wanting to change in 6 months. Tho i do quite like those standards & they will keep me going.

Re: Wheels?
Easy then, Buy Naths wheels, they've got really good tread on them and i'm sure he'll sort you out at the right price. Then sell your wheels on eBay, make some of the money back. Sorted, a decent set of tyres for next to nothing. Then get it lowered. LittleMissBora's car looked ace after it was lowered even when she had the standard alloys on it.
Re: Wheels?
Hmmm, still not sure. Will think about it this weekend.....

Re: Wheels?
UPDATE!!
Ok, after thinking hard (made my head hurt), i managed to scrape enough together & got the R3's but in 17's with 215/45's on them. Managed to get him down from £600 to £530 to, which was a bonus!
Will get them next week, so as soon as they're on the car, i'll get a pic up for you guys.
I'm hoping that they'll look as nice as i think they will on the black bora

Re: Wheels?
Sorted mate im glad you went for the 17s in the end i got a set of seat cupra alloys on my bora at the mo as i sold my RS4s last winter (needed the money) and ive regretted it since 16s look too small infact almost lost in the arches
Re: Wheels?
Well i got a phone call on tuesday morning telling me that they are no longer doing the R3's for VW, so i am a bit gutted.
On the plus side, i ordered a set of these this morning..

Will get a proper pic up when the car is clean, but thought i'd put a taster up.
She's gonna need dropping a little i think, but i think it's the stereo that's gonna be replaced next..
Oh, & Stormybora......Did you enjoy your parking ticket today? Noticed that they had slapped one on ya this morning.....
