Re: Mark's vento VR6 *sad days*
nah, its not worth it, i can make a mk2 vr6 for less than what its gonna cost to save the vento shell, its a no brainer really. the arches are rotten as is the floor and rear quarter. its past saving.
sold the leather today and got myself another gti interior for 20quid for a mate.
taking the glove box and hand brake surround to its new home tomorrow, they are living on in icy's mk3 gti 16v as are the kamei air intakes
got smoked indicators for sale hella jobbies nobody fancy em?

Re: Mark's vento VR6 *sad days*
coming to the end of reasons to post here.
Manzi is interested in the bootlid so he might be the coolest cat down his way with his functional rado wing
by friday i will have sold 1065 quids worth of stuff out the vento so its paid for a mk2 already. still have the engine box loom etc although the loom is stripped out and in the boot now. dash out carpets out, whole thing is looking sorry for itself. i feel sorry for it. ill take some pictures today when i go to strip the rear axle.
lookin like for 400quid the car owes me ive got a vr6 motor lump loom rear axle subframes driveshafts etc etc etc for a mk2 vr6 and widetrack conversion. not bad!! ill post up pictures if im allowed?

Re: Mark's vento VR6 *sad days*
I'm just about to drop a VR6 into a mk2 golf i've been given. The conversion itself is pretty straight forward, the only tricky bit is the wiring loom. If you have any diagrams or exeprience in this area it would be appreciated.
Depending on the results and the handling, I may even try a R32 motor in my Jetta. I'll see how the 9A stacks up against the VR.
