Re: GTI Engineering Jetta GT (painted and been to some shows)
Sounds good if it was a minter i.e show room condition
Re: GTI Engineering Jetta GT (painted and been to some shows)
It was not in mint condition would require some work to get up to my standards thats why I thought it too dear. Still for sale checked last night. peter

Re: GTI Engineering Jetta GT (painted and been to some shows)
thats the one that was being sold on the classic car forum. It was sold on there so im guessing its the new owner selling on again. there can only be one with that milage on and you have to remember that despite the milage, the kit has been on for 23 odd years so there will be trouble underneath. Wheres it being sold now??

Re: GTI Engineering Jetta GT (painted and been to some shows)
Heres a more positive update
Popped up at the weekend to irion out some details etc and heres some fresh pics. The bodyshop has got back on track after the fire and prep work is in full swing. There was a delay with the welding chap due to a family illness, but things are movng forward
Heres one of my new sills waiting for a weld or two
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
and heres the other side all ready finished and prepped
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The side skirts have both been prepped and simons even dug most of the old crappy paint out of the embossed Zender logo's
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
with the front spoiler also receiving the same attention
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
There still a bloodyt great big hole where the rear panel used to be but the overall body prep is well on its way
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Still to find on my snag list is:
a better GTI Engineering steering wheel than I have or at least a better center
Jetta complete lock set inc rear boot surround
central locking petrol cap
early tinted green glass- drivers side rear 1/4, passenger front main and 1/4 window, and a front screen
the lcd screen from the clocks
rear speaker pods that seperate by twisting
original gear gaiter
early gti gera knob
the upper cover over the steering wheel
dash surround
and a whole bunch of clips (see above Zender logo pic) to attatch the trim to as the previous owner used bondo
and a heap of time to stick it back together again!!

Any new pics to share i am waiting on tender hooks here.... come on give me another fix pleeeeeease.
Re: GTI Engineering Jetta GT (painted and been to some shows)
the last visit was pretty much the same condition. The welder has got family issues. There were a couple more panels prepped and i left a better front bumper and a couple of new front door hinges.
