my capri green one
hi, just bought my second mk2 jetta off ebay £200, capri green very well looked after, only scab around filler cap. going to spend loads on it when i'v sold my 86 caravelle. can anyone recommend a good 60/40 suspension setup cheers.

welcome to the family. i would go for coil-overs, then you can adjust them to how you want.

Hi mate welcome to the Club and an excellent car and colour choice.
As the other old man above said coilovers are more popular and very adjustable. Check ebay out they start at around £200 +/- a few quid.

coilovers-buy cheap buy twice,decent budget coils are FK highsport silverlines,quite close in price to a full spring and shox kit

cheers for that. forgot to mention i also have a t plate silver bora 2.0 sport (the girlfriends) but i prefer the jetta!

no probs,i used to have a silver bora as well lol nice cars but i prefer my older stuff as well although a new bora could be on the horizon
if you do go for normal springs i would be getting a matched springs and shox kit or youll be buying the shox soon anyway,the coils i was on about are stainless bodies and ive ran them on my mk1 for nearly 2 years and can still adjust them by hand,decent ride too unless your down on the bump stops plus you can get ot level really easy,with springs you need to get a set of front spring caps which will stop it sitting as ass down as the it youll get will be for a golf and the extra weight of the boot drags it down a bit extra
