That is a personal choice I prefere both but can only afford one. Myne is green and has got big bumpers If you go for small bumpers make sure you stick to 13's and slam it. You have to get some pics up(before while and after)

yeah about that, i really want to slam it to the deck, i have huge speedbumps on the way to work and in my housing estate, so my only solution would be to bag it, gotta start savin those pennies though

Re: Green 1986 VW Jetta TX owner
technically yes it is an 8v, however when you hear people refer to an 8v on a forum they are usually refering to the GTi. The GTis were produced with two engines the GTi 8v (115 bHP) and the GTi 16v. (138 BHP) these engines were fuel injected and they were both 1.8 Li (except in some countries like america they were 2.0li)
your TX model has many differences to the GTi as the GTi was top spec, kind of the R32 of its day so had all the nice bits like trim seats kit etc.
the tx was a more standard car. the main difference engine wise is your car will not be fuel injected, but will have a carb, i think all TX models were 1.6li and around 70 BHP there is a 1.8li carb engine but dont knwo the bhp probably somewhere beween 80 and 90.
if you have some time and effort there will be many many mods you can do to your car to increase performance. goot options would be upgrading to gti 16v brakes at the front. putting disc brakes at the back, engine swaps and suspension tweaks
lol hopefully thats answred your question lol
