Well thanks to Popeye having a look and telling me that i did have sidelights in the indicators i wired them in tonight. Its funny what you find isnt it - the lad a bought the car off put in the clear indicators. BUT................................
He just twisted the wires together and covered his foolishness with insulation tape !!!!!!!!!
All sorted now though - connected properly.

Nowt new on the car really just the usual - new brakes, tyres, bearings all round, replacement carb (thanks Wiggy), plugs, leads, dizzy + cap, rotor arm, steering rack cos garage said mine was on its way out (unsure but i followed the advice), track rod ends,
Got some 300W spakers in the back and 2x10" subs in the boot - also got 4x 200W speakers to put in the doors when the weather breaks a bit.
Its never ending ay !!!

Nice project Stu !
I just wish I could find some time to spend on mine. So many little jobs I want/need to do on it that I just cant get around to doing.
Fancy lending me your lass for an afternoon? (Not in that kinda way!!)

Cheers Bud
Its a bit of a love hate relationship - i spend my time and money fixing the Jetta up slowly (love) then the car spends her time winding me up and demanding more parts !!! (hate) Such is life though ay
