Sorry for the late pics... ive had a nightmare!! Previous owner made an absolute hash of the new cambelt, and engine mounting!! It was held on by 2 out of 3 bolts Shocked not to mention the covers being missing! previous cambelt was on its last legs as it was sliced due to rubbing on part of the bay!!!!! .. sounded like i had a supercharger 2 hrs before i took it to the garage Shocked .... but fear not - all is fixed Very Happy brand new engine mount bolts, tensioner kit and cambelt . Also what needed fixing, passenger leccy window, washer bottle re-connected and a damn good clean!

Here's the beast..

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Current exterior mods by previous previous owner are, s3 lights, debadged tailgate, blacked out audi grille and window tints.

The two girls Cool

S-line electric leather seats and S3 steering wheel

..and the money shot!

Been told by pretty much everyone that the car is too good to break! but i disagree.. its all about the Vento lol

Let me know what you think!

i didnt want to vr6 it (not now anyway, ive thought about building a VR6T in the future, but i wanted a 20VT for the speed and economy surprisingly.. im hitting 35-38 mpg! plus... if i k03s/k04 it, FMIC, change pistons, full stainless system, de-cat and a remap, im gonna be on my way to 300hp easy... money money money lol

Hello everyone, bit of a progress update;

Just got the car back from the garage and its almost ready to take the engine!! sills werent as bad as i thought so they've been grinded down, stoneguarded and painted.. the full rear disk conversion is now on too with new handbrake cables and brake lines made up and mintex pads. Also fully cleaned and wax oiled underside.. pics do it no justice atm so il wait till the engine work lol

Next things to come are Eibach ARB's, goodridge stainless brake lines, polybushes and 280mm G60 front break setup or 285mm hi-spec's (not yet decided) with EBC green stuff pads all round.

hi pete mate,

yes that zymol stuff is really good, but a bit pricey ££££

the maguires stuff is quite good too, (medium priced)

but to be honest i find autoglym good enough,

but if you can get some "diamond brite" paint protection & treat your car with that first, its amazing stuff,

you wont be disappointed,

Good stuff happening there Macca and think you made the right choice of engine swap.
Keep the pics and updates coming.

I've heard great things about Dodo juice and Collonite products for cleaning but Megiuar's has a great range and well priced.

Haha cheers Fil! I am a whore.. its official

Although ive got these, im still hitting this years shows with the borbets because they only got one proper run out last year and that was VWleeds!.. so after the mot im going to get some new tyres, arches rolled and the borbets are on for ultimate dubs Laughing

They msut have cost a small fortune. Very hard to come by arn't they. I must admit I think the borbet suit the car better though. Still it all depends upon what look you prefer. The Schmidt are a fantastic looking rim.

Cheers for the comments t-jett..

Theres no denying the borbets are made for the vento Laughing
Ive had mine over a year now and everyone comments that vento's should have just came with borbets.. so its hard to escape them, theyre such a great wheel..

The schmidts are a cheeky alternative and i fancied running something smaller with a a bit more poke - however i do have something else in the pipeline regarding running some tuck and poke! ...

them schimdts look sweet, sdhame u cant take photos for shoot Pete! lol!!

is the engine all done n runnin properly then? get more detailed updates up!

the schmidt should run 185/45s on the 8s, and 195/45s on the 9s! trust!

you will be low as hell in order to run them tho! i9 think GL splitter will suit the car with them!

also, them porkas are hard to come by in 8x16, so you doen well! keep the good work up!
