MK1 Jetta Empty MK1 Jetta

I have been talking about buying an old VW project for ages. Well the wait is over - I have eventually got around to picking up a retro project. I was initially after a MK1 Golf, but when this MK1 Jetta came up I just had to have it. Seems like a pretty solid example with a totally mint interior - seats, door cards, dashboard etc are pretty much spotless. Should be a good base to keep me busy over the winter months.

Few pictures of the Jetta tucked up in its new home:

Only had the car 1 week, but thought I ought to make some progress. Stripped off all of the trim, badges, lights, grille, mirrors, bumpers and driver side wing:

Managed to get the passenger side wing off yesterday. Also cleaned up the driver side front arch and got some primer on:
