Re: 'UberDub' my Jetta mk1 1500 GL
Bit of an update:-
Decided the porker wheels/steering wheel weren't quite right for the car & i wanted something more in keeping & retro looking, so managed to get hold of these Alulines, wolfsburg steering wheel & a 'formel e' spoiler.
Put my own stamp on it now & acheived the look i wanted, so no more mods as i don't want to over do it.
Cheers Paul .

Re: 'UberDub' my Jetta mk1 1500 GL
Thanks guys, always good to get positive comments .
Finally got a decent...ish day to go for a spin in the Jetta after best part of 3 months under a dust sheet....
My lad(12yrs) wanted to test his new camera out so here's the outcome.

Nearside front tyre is rubbing on the plastic arch slightly, so need to sort that out asap & since putting new stereo in i've got a power drain so have to keep charging the battery up till i get it sorted .
Thanks Paul.

Re: 'UberDub' my Jetta mk1 1500 GL
I've got the original sales brochure & i'm pretty sure they were std kit.
They incorporate the headlight washer jets too.
Perhaps it wasn't available then as mines 3yrs newer than yours??.

Shame. They remind me of the old Ford Escort MK3 series 1 RS turbo bumpers.

Just found some on the bay! £40.00 for the pair brand new. I dont know whether to buy them or not? Do you think it would make it look odd as its an earlier model?

It's the same bumper so why not, it's always good to find new 'oe' stuff as it's hard to come by.
I wished i'd bought a front clip with bumper & grill when i had the chance a couple of month back & i still regret not getting it .

Cheers bud. Yep original paint, don't get me wrong it's not perfect there's wear & tear on it. I put some tape on to hold the spoiler in position while i checked it & when i pulled the tape off, it pulled the bloody laquer off - so it's pretty fragile.
A previous owner told me it had been stored from 2004 to 2009 so must have been stored well thankfully.
He even sent me these photo's of when he got it. As you can see in the pic it had rust on the front spoiler & it's been filled now, so that's on my list to sort.

What size tyres are you running on the porsche wheels? I've been offered some Design 90 wheels (16 inch) and wondered what the profile and width was?
