Re: Jetta MK2 coupe project
quick update, jetta's finally coming home so I can start fitting up, unfortunately it's been delayed as I've moved house recently so time and funds have been really tight. On the plus side though I now have a double garage and everything to finish it off, just a case of bolting it all together!

Re: Jetta MK2 coupe project
Hello there just reading the thread and was wondering what engine the coupe had in it when you bought it and was it original?
Re: Jetta MK2 coupe project
the engine was a 1.6 carb, i'm not sure whether it was original or not as car has done 250,000 kilometres, i gave the engine away on here but it still ran well when i took it out.

Re: Jetta MK2 coupe project
progress has been slow but it's coming home next week as got a nice double garage now so can work on it at home so it should hopefully pick up pace, just got to offload some parts to generate some cash for qpeng management! I will update pics as soon as car's back here.

Re: Jetta MK2 coupe project
Well not been on here for ages, so I thought I'd update this thread. I did go right hand drive in the end and 20vt with hybrid ko3s making around 270bhp. Here are some pics of how she looks now

Some more...

Few things to do on it this week, replacing master cyl as there seems to be excessive brake pedal travel, fitting electric windows and need to investigate knocking on full lock, suspect cv joint. Also going to wind coilovers down a tad more.
