MKII Jetta TX '89
Thought it about time I showed off my car on here. Its a MKII Jetta 1.6 TX with 52,000 miles on the clock with dealer stamped service history. I bought it at xmas for £142!! Bargain!! Then its sat on my parents drive until now. It came with no MoT or tax but looked good on ebay so just had to bid!!
I have put a 2nd hand starter motor on it so iI could at least ride around the block in it. This highlighted the problem of a leaky water pump-which GSF supplied at only £15!! Then I did the usual oil change and new sparks, plus changed the brake fluid as all shoes, pads, and discs appeared ok for now. I must add at this point that the car was sat for 3 years prior to me buying it. The best bit about the car is that one of the tyres was going down so i put the spare on instead-only to find that the tyre was brand new still with the paper on the tyre!! All other tyres have good tread on them too! Its running on scala alloys. These will get the ribs polished soon and may even change from black inserts to white.
It now is fully MoT'd and tax and I'm currently using it as my daily driver. More changes will come later but only small mods. I want to colour code the engine bay and add some pinstriping on the car. Enjoy the pics.....

Re: MKII Jetta TX '89
yep they're off a rocco. The plan was to buy the car and then sell the wheels hopefully for the purchase price, gain some free steelies from somewhere and have a car for free!! BUT i'm keeping the wheels[/img]
