vardo wrote:the wheel bolts i need are m14 thread same as golf, audi items, but the shoulder is rounded and not tapered,i need to get some porsche ones ,but get this...£100 plus vat for 20 bolts,i aint paying that..with the cost of the rims, hub adaptors, tyres and bolts i could have just got a set of bbs and a lot less hassle, but i always do things the hard way!!! cherry

Hi Vardo
check with your nearest vw dealer or local scrappy because the mk4 golf/bora use bolt with a rounded sholder i know this due to useing my standard bolts on my rims

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
as u can see from this pic the bolt is from my bora and the rounded nut is from the H&R hub adaptors i had to buy so the rear wheels sat under the arches

Very nice looking car mate, I doubt mine will ever look that good Razz

I do like ATS cups (used to have some on my rocco) it does seem like a bit of a saga with the D90's though.

Post by vardo Fri Oct 05, 2007 10:19 pm

Very Happy reaver cheerz for the comments,im really concentrating hard on getting this done,i drove 200 miles to pick up the ats cups,i put some 175's on the wheels, nice little stretch!
the westmoreland front has caused me some probs, coz its off a left hand drive
the bonnet catch was back to front,i drilled it out and tried to turn it(but its completely different).
so i had to take it off again Crying or Very sad ,i will need to drill out a rhd one and rivet it in place.
also the headlamps are sealed halogen units,so if one goes im up s@*t creek cos ive done a search on google and i cant find anywhere that supplys the lights...and there is no sidelights on these, Idea but im gonna just put the sidelights in the indicators.

cheerz skattrd, yes these bloody d 90s are a real pain.i started to sand them, then got bored so a friend took them to work and continued for me,he got all the faces looking nice and shiny,we decided that we would paint in between the spokes anthracite as it was to hard to buff up the awkward spaces...months passed with nothing.
now the wheels are at a polishin shop, well 3 off them as my mate has misplaced one,he gaurantees me he knows where it is!!???
so when i get them i dont want to run them over the winter ...hence the new ats cups(these wheels really need a refurb also..but that can wait till next year)

ive got a light brown interior out of my gxtd, ive had all the seats shampooed, before i fit it in,also got a centre armrest to fit.
