my mk1 project-------------------enjoy!------------i have
well dont rearlly come on here much but thaught you might like to know my progress
wel i baught my mk1 jetta back in november 2007 a very basic modle a jetta c with the little 1.1 engine in it
looking like this
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
managed to make some slow progress but any progress is good progress
striped the inside
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
and then cleaned up some lx interiour which i had from striping a mk1 jetta i already had
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
then out came the engine
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
then cleaned the bay abit
before
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
after
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
then gave one bit a rearlly good clean and got bored
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
then i started to ad the little touches
added some chrome window trims with the seals aswell
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
the took the engine to work to start of that
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
few weeks passed then it started to look good after 200 quid worth of new parts, head rebulid,e.c.t,e.c.t
and some paint
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
few more days passed
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
and then it was finally just about back together and in one big piece
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
thats how the engine is at the moment ready to be put back into its home even though its a 1.1 the the attention to detail which gets my vote not worried about power that much
then baught a clay kit and cleaned the bonet up nicley
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
thats about it for the money but hope to have the engine back in by the end of may and hope to ahve some nice seats soon then coilover can be ordered e.c.t
many thanx max
any comments welcome
