still needs flattening back and polishing as not got round to doing that yet, and then for the red to be changed colour, paint all ready to be shaken, mixed with the thinner and hardner and sprayed on

I LIKE THAT! It's like Piano black, i think black bonnets on their own are a bit Jap - But to follow it on down the roof and boot is awsome! I would love to do that to mine. All i need to do now is get 'venturbo' to get on his spraying course!

I quite like that but, i would think it'll date quickly and you would need a perfect body for it

My opinion only.

the body is going to be pretty straight, its me who is doing the bodywork, first time of ever doing anything like this before. the black has shown up dents which i didnt even realise which were there, which kinda sucks, but i have an idea how to distract the eye away from some of them

like the colour...good choice..I once had a mk1 golf in a similar shade!

How things going with the changes to the car?
Have you been able to make any progress lately, as the weather's getting better it should give us all a chance to do some bits and bobs.

got some pics today, nothing else has been done as of yet, but it WILL be done before run to the sun which is in a couple of weeks. im hoping its done end of next wee at the latest

still fair bit to do, like the rest of the respray and few little bits to make it run smoother n that. maybe in a while get some nice slot mags or something but these wheels will do for now. excuse quality of pics, were taken on my phone lol

quick update, car has been in and out of the unit being sanded down and having a few small bits sorting and the rest of the paintword will be done tomorrow night all going well so just in time to be ready for run to the sun and plymouth volksfest weekend

looking great buddy will we be seing you in at the club stands in June?

tbh i dont think i will be making many events this year, i still need to get the engine running right, carb needs servicing, clutch needs doing at some point as the thrust bearings doing my head in, backbox needs sorting as thats blowing like a pig, might make it to some later this year, but thats only a maybe and im never able to tell until nearer the time due to having a disabled daughter who needs physio regular etc etc. i'd love to be on the jetta owner club stand sometime though
