Re: 07jettamkv's Jetta. USA
The 2.5 is only rated at 150hp stock, although the 08's came out claiming 170hp, with very few changes. I believe the GTI 2.0 is still 200hp stock, so they tend to win. The R32 is still a 3.2L VR6 250hp, 6-cylinder Engine, AWD!!! that rocks the world, but only available in DSG trans and still over 32k US.
There is currently a turbo in the works for this motor, we are all waiting to see what numbers it can put down, but hopefilly close to 230-240hp with it/ intake/ exhaust and perhaps some lightened flywheels. well see (EDIT- He just made 400 HP )
I posted more pics in the members ride section. The OEM silvertails are the least prefered here in america it seems, everyone wants the euro tails with vag-comm changes to Amber mode. They are sweet, I will change one day, but I do still have the stock tails, and may smoke them just to have an option.
I also added a short video of our club in the video section. Take a look when you can!
Thanks for the kind words!

32k feck me that's cheap!!!! That's under 16k in sterling!!! That would buy you a 1.6 Jetta in the UK

Well i dont remember a V5 2.5, but iv'e only been around the old air cooled 72-74 bug's, and now this MK5, so i missed all the MK's 1-4, and dont know much. But i do know, this is an all new motor. The new 2.5 inline engine started here in the states with the 2005.5 models and is still current.
Glad you like the shots!
