My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
Hi!
This is my daily driver. It's a 1992 1,8 GX. Bought it in december. At the moment it's waiting for new suspension, Weitec Ultra GT 60/40. And I'm working on a few things in the interior. New wheels are expected in a couple months.
So here she is:

I'm going for black Compomotive's TH, 15x8. Bumpers and doors below the plastic thingy (what's the name of that?) are gonna be painted black as well.

Re: My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
As soon as I get the suspension, I'm going to take some new pictures. Those I posted, were taken in December. More sunshine lately
And about location... that's the advantage of living on Arran
The biggest problem are the ferrys, or ferry fees.

Re: My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
The wheels are comming in couple of months. Suspension should come any day now (at least I hope so). I ordered it 2 weeks ago at Dubmeister.
And glad you like the pictures. Photography is one of my 2 main hobbies (second one are cars).

I'm doing all the switches on the dash and horn on the steering wheel. I've got one switch done so far. A picture to come when all are done

Re: My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
OK, so I fixed my sig and my some of the pictures. And now 2 pictures of my jetta with Weitec's. Pictures are crappy and the car is dirty, but whatever... Call it a teaser and I'll get some better pictures when I get a while to clean her

Re: My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
OK, I have a big problem. My car's been off the road for a month now. Because of no tools and garage I can't repair it by my self. The car wont start. I think it needs a new head gasket. Also something about the suspension neeeds to be done as the left rear strut ended up in my trunk after i hit a puthole.
So the question is... How much do you think I could get for her like that. You know what shape the rest of the car is by the pictures i gave you in previous posts. It also has a Weitec 60/40 kit.

Re: My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
if the head gasket needs doing then cost the parts / pressure test etc is going to cost £300 i would allow..
the rear strut sound like the top mount is f@cked.. if you didnt change that when you did the struts.. then do it.. should be straight forward..
has it got mot? its prob worth £200 without.. £300 with i guess.

Re: My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
it's got MOT till december.
But today when i went to my backyard to put the laundry out, I looked at her, and came to the conclusion that I must be stupid to try and sell her. So she's staying. Ima get her done

Re: My lazy 8v [mk2] - She's BACK!!
Good choice mate, keep the car, it'll prob take less to fix it than you think.
I was thinking about selling mine as it had been off the road for a while, but I eventually got off my arse, fixed it and now its definitely staying.
