Funds allowing:

Wheels, slight lower, remap and turbo exit pipe. An R32 or GTi interior would be nice too - think the backs fit?

Would also like to get an RNS510 installed and look at getting an MFSW, poss off of the scirocco and get some Xenons.

GTi side skirts and a front lip should finish it off (poss a boot spoiler but not so fussed) and dark smoked rear windows.

Enough?

First mod whoever will probably be to de-badge the rear and stick some Forte treatment through the engine.

Sweet buddy i would have thought that the rears will go straight in they seem to have standardised the rears between golf / Jetta on the mk4 so itll be the same in the Mk5 id think

LOVE the golf, was it 10v or 20v? Such a pleasant alternative to the 1.8T with loads of grunt. I bet it hung on too with coilovers!

20v, last of the run with all the kit - sat nav, xenons, leather ... With the remap and R32 DSG inlet mod I recon it was between 180 & 190 bhp. Not bad.

Never handled quite as well as I would have liked despite all the mods - give up and start again with something fundamentally better eh?!

yes I DO miss the warble of the 5 pot - WHY don't VAG bring the V5 2.5 Jetta to the UK? Without all the US emissions sapping stuff it would give a nice 200+ bhp!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOO Evil or Very Mad

Yeah - not bad form is it? Laughing

Need all the inspiration I can get. Want to get on and do the mods as I ran out of time on the Golf. Plan, plan, plan and never did half of it.

We are not far away from having a blown 2.5 5 pot in the TT and A3 badged the 'RS'.

Cool!!

Anyway, I am narrowing down the mods - what do you all think?

Eibach Pro springs -30mm (not sure about which shox to use, originals, Billie blacks or Koni FSDs)

18 inch Audi A3 BBS split rims
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Ed30 / Votex front splitter and side skirts

GTi / ED30 / R32 headlamps with Xenon (either oem or retrofit)

Debadge the rear to leave just the 2.0T, Not 2.0TDi

Remove the Jetta badge and possibly put an ABT badge on

Discrete boot lip spoiler (A6 / M5 style).

Projector fog light inserts.

De-cat, non res Milltec with changed rear valance to accomodate the twin pipes

Remap to 170/180ish

Smoke tint the rear windows as per the factory option

R32 steering wheel

R32 brakes??

(DREAM - R32 shell back interior!!)

If ANY of this gets on the car then it will be nice, if most of it happens the it will be awsome.

Better get started then!!!
