Well I am the new guy. A Jetta owner from California. I am on my third Jetta, fourth VW. 1988 Jetta Carat, 1995 Jetta GLS, and my current 2004 GLS. My first ride was a 1978 VW Rabbit, or as I refer to it a Jetta without a butt. [img][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/img]

Must be either a:
1.9L 100 hp I4 If it is the diesel
2.0L 115 hp I4
Or the 1.8T 180 hp I4

here is the engine info for the your American cousin, or should I say Mexican since the car was manufactured there.

Base Number of Cylinders: 4 Base Engine Size: 2 liters
Base Engine Type: Inline 4 Horsepower: 115 hp
Max Horsepower: 5200 rpm Torque: 122 ft-lbs.
Max Torque: 2600 rpm Drive Type: FWD

I believe 07jettamk5 stole my thunder though.

Right now I am looking at doing some small maintenance to it. But maybe more. I have been going to a lot of drag races. The local drag strip is called Famoso. I will upload some pictures and questions for the jetta soon. thanks.

Hi, Peeps. I own a 2006 Jetta tdi sport. I had a mk2 Jetta about 10 years ago, Converted to a Mk3 Golf gti.... Now Am Back On The Jetta Thing!! Hope to get to know some people. Will try and get some shots of the Dirty Deisel.
