Oxford Meets

Just a little update to this post.

Next meet is on the 1st March 2009 at the Greyhound Pub, Besselsleigh, Nr Cumonr. At 2pm. Hope some of you maybe able to make this. Would be good to see you before we go to UD's the following weekend.

I was recently introduced to a local Oxon club for vw's www.dubcluboxford.co.uk by a new member to our site vw.ventovr6, thanks, top bloke. Any way I believe this is quite a new club but they do get together for monthly meets.

how far would it be for me in lincolnshire or what is the postcode?

postcode for maccy ds is OX14 1AU i would say about 2 hours drive for you wiggy

As its just a small local meet (probably about 50 car most I think), it would be too far for some of you to bother coming. But we hope some of you can join us, don't leave stari and I to represent the jetta on our own what will other dubbers think!

My vento's been sitting in my garage since i blow the heater matrix going to the rolling road with wilson 325i. I decided to buy a pug 306 DT for silly money but i need to go for a drive so i will block of the pipes to the heater and take a trip to this meet..

Nice to see some others maybe joining us. If any of you plan to meet stari and myself in abingdon please let us know then we will wait for you.

Onoriode I have a spare mk2 heater matrix you could have if thats any good but I'm betting the vento is different.

I was thinking of leaving the vr without a heater but all i can say is i love my heater

Just wanted to bump this post to get peoples attention. Its tomorrow folks so hope to see some of you there.

I have something you can use onoriode! When i had a problem with my heating i welded up a U tube that bypassed the heater matrix. If i can find it you can have it, means you can run the rest of the system as normal.

aint gonna be comion in my jetta now.....bit short of funds for fuel for that distance.....

but hopefully still come....possibly in my mates new Ibiza 1.8t that we picked up 2day....tis very quick lol///

Shame some of you couldn't come to this, it wasn't a bad turn out there are a few pictures posted on the oxford clubs website, if any of you would like to take a look at some of the cars that were there. Anyway if any one is ever looking for a meet in this area they hold this little get together every month, so just visit the website for dates, time and location. Maybe some of you will be able to make it next time.

I was going to come to this with Nick (Trampy) as i was in Oxford again over the weekend but it took us alot longer to fit my springs on the Octavia than expected. Will try and make it for the next one depending on dates.

Yep ditto above really! 2pm had long passed and the octavia was still sat on a block of wood and the Vento had the brakes taken apart!

I was hoping to make this but did a meet in Reading first and got stuck in 90 mins of traffic just to get off the M4. Try again for the next one!

Never mind, to all those who couldn't make it. Next one is Jan 4th 2009. Maybe see you then.

Sorry Trampy just logged in and saw your post. I did go today, would have been nice to meet up with you, I should really check the forum more often. This morning I was really busy getting my motor back together so that I could go myself, I will put some update pictures on soon of how its looking now. Next meet is on 1st March for anyone who is interested. Trampy if you feel like going and can make it let me know before hand and we can arrange to meet up.

1st of march, i shall remind nick as i doubt he will check the forum in time.
