meets?

hay guys not been on in a while but was wondering if u guys were gonna have a forum meet soon so all the newbies can meet up check out each others cars etc.

well dont want to tread on anyones toes, but it has been said in the past that a club meet would be tricky due to us being all over the country. myself and T-jetta-stare was thinking of holding a centralish meet in the northampton area any suggestion?

any one up for a cambridge meet???

i think if u put one in a central area and do it well in advance people can organise things to get there

That would be great if we could all meet for one big Booty meet instead of waiting for a show. We could arrange a date with imput from everyone ..

We aranged a meet the day before ultimate dubs 2008 how many peeps would be up for that then? (march 7th)

does that mean ultimate dubs is (8th march 09), if it is, i'd better tell jack to pull his finger out and get into the operating theatre for his heart transplant.  

id be up for a meet on the 7th sure i can persuade t-jetta-stare as well (wont need much), and yes popeye you do need to sort jack out would be great to see him there.

I am in that sounds Grrreat...(If you don't get Jack done in time Popeye you should have your A frame back, and you can tow Jack there. )

Yes I would be up for that. Stari and I were hoping to do something a little sooner though. Maybe in the Banbury/Northampton area. Or somewhere around there. If anyone else is interested then maybe we could get suggestions on possible dates and/or locations(around the already suggested area). It would be good to get some feed back then we will know what kind of site to look for. We were thinking of maybe a travel lodge near a motorway so that we could all have a drink or several and not have to worry about or licences by driving back. Maybe a post xmas do at the end of January. What do you all think.

well me and t-jetta are thinking weekend end of january or begining of feb i know its a little in the distance but want to get xmas out the way first. the we will look at a location prob northamptonish area of the m1.

Ye! northhampton is good for me....nor too far and simple enuf to get to.... Feb wud be a good time for me too lol hopegully my ride will be nearly how i want it then!!

The topic was raised before about making a weekend of ultimate dubs, is this still happening? Also I have noticed on other sites that the club stand for UD's is limited and so most clubs put there best motors out on display. When and how do we organise this for the jetta's? and what happens to the rest of us, those not worthy to have show cars? Do we stick together in the car park or something?

Stari and I also mentioned the possiblity of sorting out a small get together at a pub Northampton way last weekend of Jan 2009 if there was enough interest, so if anyone would like to meet up put your name down and we will get a location sorted but it will have to be quick now.

Also just an update to let you all know, the oxford monthly VW meet is going well and they are sorting out a couple of events like rolling road day on Feb 7th, a bowling night hopefully and will be going along to santa pod on one of the vw days. Also there is a number who will now try and attend the no rice do every month as well.
