shame bout the little bump, but at least u r ok and movin on! look at the build thread of my other one (not the VR) and the first pic is of my old polo on 15x8 modernlines with 195/45s! thats should give you an idea.

Hey guys and my m8 fixed my car 2day and now just need 2 get my wheels tracked coz they r out haha i had som major negative camber after we fitted the new bottom arm lol was stikin out like 2 inches and the top of the wheel

im glad its bacl on the raod aswell but need 2 get these coilovers soon coz i think the shock is bend lol

don't worry mate,

it wont be a bent shocker, nearly all places that do "laser tracking"
"only" adjust your "side to side" tracking only "NOT" your camber, (top & bottom)

the camber is adjustable at 2 points (the 3x 13mm) bolts securing the bottom ball joint to the wishbone,
and
the (2x 18mm) bolts securing the wheel hub to the front strut,

nice easy fix,

thats y i think its bend coz we've adjusted that all the way and still sticks out top of the arch so im thinkin it is bent ??? and after i get my coilies nxt month will get my car lazer tracked will cost me £20 not 2 bad

but it could be it need tracking but every drain cover i go over my car twitches like funk ???

When i got my borbets this is the exact problem i had, at first i thought i was just over paranoid but it actually was poking out of the arch at the top!!! Laser alignment sorted it out for me mate... if you can get it done for £20 its well worth it

Its hard to say without driving it/seeing what you mean!, 4 wheel laser alignment will sort you out tho... if the problem persists, could have something to do with shocker. Why dont you get a front alignment and then wait for your coilovers, then when you get them on, get a full 4 wheel laser alignment.. that will be a good way of eradicating problems

hey guys got my wheels lazer tracked and its better now but will be completely sorted when i get my coilies on it coz my strut is deffo bent and and these coilies will be a prezzie from me 2 me haha

lol and ye does anybody know if FK Highsport Silverline Coilovers are any good ???

just bought a de-badged grill 4 my car :D should be here in few days

The Silverline are the stainless versions which are worth paying extra for if you intend to keep everything sparkling under the arch. I use FK Highsports on the Jetta as they have 30% stiffer shocks which makes for a tight setup without being track stiff.

I've got a set of FK Highsports that I bought for my VR conversion but it turns out they are for a 4cyl Gti, done a few thousand miles if that, will be for sale soon if your interested.

grills been canceled and until i can decide which 1 2 go 4 the grill is on hold haha but i have just bought a VR6 splitter so my normal deep chin splitter is 4 sale PM me if ur interested

Your front hub will be bent (the arm the strut bolts through) I'm 99 percent sure! I've hit a kerb whilst sideways before and had to replace the hub aswell as well as the wishbone. Get yaself down the scrapper for a hub!

heres is a pic update of my car i washed it yesterday but there was no point as its filthy again and these are b4 pics b4 i put my coilovers on when they arrive
