I would replace them in the long run mate as everything else seemed so solid.
Bog them up for now until you can find a rust free set.
Seems strange they have gone as everywhere else has been waxoiled.

Nice work Popeye! My drivers door is starting to rust in a similar place, if i had a solid colour id try it myself but mines metallic .
