Jack's gotta girlfriend!!!!!

Well everyone, we'd like you to say a big hello to our new girl, Jill!!!!!   She's a 1991 H reg mk2 Jetta 1.6 GX in Silver. She's only done 51,000 miles with a full VW service history and we got her for the bargain price of £89.50!!!!!!!

She's runs and sound very sweet but unfortunately doesn't drive at the moment due to an automatic gearbox fault. Once we've replaced the gearbox with Jack's old manual one, she should hopefully be up and running. She needs a few touch up's doing and a new rocker gasket but other than that she's mint

probably worth advertising the auto box as "repairable" after you convert to manual, as they are quite rare,

we left home about 12.30 saturday afternoon for our long journey for jill, 62 mph flat out and nearly 7 hours later we seen jill for the first time, BEAUT. on our way back we called in on a dear friend who lives in london for a break. about 11.45 sunday morning we left our friend's home(thanks vic).stopped at oxford services on way back(day light pics). arrived home around 4.30pm(28 hours later).
jill comes with service history.

WELL good news for popeye (and olive ) BUT bad news for Wigster for he had to change the trailor name and this will be the final name change....... The new name for Wigs trailor will be JJ (thats a mix between Jack and Jill)

Well, It's now looking like it's not just going to be a replacement gearbox and rocker cover gasket that we're gonna need for this old girl. We could be looking at a new window too cos it might need breaking. A certain someone has only gone and lost the only key for her after taking it to work with him!

Not just mk2 Jetta salesman, he's also gonna be running a vw scrapyard from our drive soon too!!!

Hopefully the key problem should be sorted by tomorrow. An auto locksmith is coming to get into Jill for us and apparently can cut us a spare key. All at the cost of £80 though

Well everyone, we're finally getting closer to bringing the old girl home. It was 'D-Day' for Donor Boy (Passat VR) on Monday. He left in a bit of a sorry state but we were glad to see the back of him!! Out with the old and make way for the new

I think it would be fair to say that Popeye 'went to town' on him and absolutely stripped it bare!!

Well, after a long wait, we have good news.

JILL'S HOME!!!!

Firstly she was treated to a nice bath courtesy of Popeye and now she's gleaming. Now you can see past the dirt, you can tell what good condition she's actually in!!!
