Amazingly clean. Same interior as the one Ive just got, Im not sure on it, maybe coz my ones got staines here there and everywhere though!
What did you use to bring the plastic trim back to life, mines well gone
Nice engine bay too, did you use a degreaser on it?
Keep it coming;)

for the black trim i used turtle wax black trim gel (or something like that name anyway)
for the engine bay i began by carefully scraping away all the excess wax oil, which became a PROPER ballache, so then i decided to get some bug and tar remover. spray it on, leave it for a min or two then get a rough cloth and just wipe it away.
definately go for the bug and tar remover/degreaser option!

Re: my recent Mk2 purchase - new pictures added
just thought id update on where it stands.
- got a matching set of beads for the passenger seat
- 16v front splitter
- pressed plates (road legal hopefully!) from dubmeister
now debating whether to keep the wheels ive got now (14"x6.5")and put some lower profile tyres on OR get some g60 steels (15"x6")
also debating how to go about lowering, whether coilovers or new shocks and springs, and how low to go.
any ideas???

Re: my recent Mk2 purchase - new pictures added
I've got a set of hottuning ones, not fitted them so can't say how they are but the quality of them is top notch for the price! Sorry to hi jack the thread, but when fir=tting the coilovers, I'm using all the top mounts off the existing struts but what about the top nuts, should I use the ones that are on the original struts or use the nyloc nuts that are on the new coilovers, or are they just put on there to stop the unit falling apart during transportation? Cheers

Re: my recent Mk2 purchase - new pictures added
TBH you could swap the standard Jetta suspension for slinkys and feel a drastic improvement!
There are enough coilovers in the system now so you be able to find a good set second hand. I picked up a nearly new set of FK Highsports from ebay for £100.
Hottuning and Supersports are great for the price, theres a big leap to the next level FK/KW/Koni etc so if you want new, i'd go with them.

Re: my recent Mk2 purchase - new pictures added
hottuning ones go to a ridiculous -110! pointless on a big bumper but would rock on a small bumper with 13's!
