my recent Mk2 purchase - new pictures added

ive recently bought my first jetta. its a 1989 TX and its done a genuine 22000 miles. its all original with a complete service history (a service after every 1000 miles) and all the reciepts to go with it.

ive also recently bought some wheels for it that cost me a princly £20, just had em stripped ready for painting (thinking about a gun metal grey)

dont want to do too much to it and want to try and keep it relatively stock for the moment as i think its a pretty good example of a Mk2

must have missed this thread, welcome to the club mate, random how i bumped into you on the car park, car is stunning very very clean example, well worth the long trip to go and pick it up.

if your around sunday there is a local club meet at the britania stadium in stoke on sunday at 1pm not that far from where you were.

the wheels have now been stripped, coated and painted and are now on. will get some pics up asap, could do with some kind of centre cap for them though if anyones got any ideas (they are bbs wheels from an old bmw i think).

also spent about a week renovating the trim and any piece of black to get it looking nice and new whilst also cleaning out the excess wax oil from the engine bay. pics up for this as soon as.

just a few more final touches then that should be done, then its on to the boot and the bottom of the wings and other little areas

move the battary over a little bit to hide that steel worm patch

think im just gonna touch the battery tray in with a bit of paint then just polish it all upcoz the paints gone in patches. should be ready for next weekend though (fingers crossed)

just going through the motions trying to find some new wheels, then think about lowering it, all when ive got the money to do it obviously.

any ideas on wheels? bin thinking bout some mercedes aero 2 wheels but well out of my budget range to be honest!
