THE INTRO

So I though of finding a nice forum to post this and I thought of vwvortex for a long time but there is to much people there. I dont want the whole world to see my car i just want a place to show my build for some like minded people. What is better then than this? So Im very new here but i will try my best to fill in all questions you all have and i will also do my best to get this nice beautiful Jetta Syncro to a perfect life over a few years. hopefully shorter time but money dont grow on trees as known. (I know my grammar is bad but english is not my first language, so forgive me for that please)

-----------------------------------------------------
THE HISTORY

So this is a Jetta Syncro CL originally a german owned car that came to sweden 2001. I dont know who brought it in but in the later years it has been driven by a nice lady 60-70km outside my hometown Östersund. A friend of mine is building a Golf mk1 G60 Syncro and he needed a syncro car. He bought this jetta and since I love jettas I bought it of him when he said he will destroy it. I actually bought it before he tuched it to much but it was still a wreck and still is kind of a wreck. IT is RUSTY (hate rust when I dont make it myself) and that is the biggest problem yet. It dont start and I havent checked it further but next weekend I have borrowed a garage from the same one I bought the car from so it will be started then atleast.

-----------------------------------------------------
THE CAR
I write what comes to mind now. I will add this later on.

1,8l Digifant 2 engine.
Syncro drivetrain.
Cl interior etc.
Alpine white.
G60 steel alloys.

-----------------------------------------------------
THE PLANS

Get it in working condition for this winter so I can drive it daily. But in the spring I want to get hold on a G60 engine with syncro gearbox and put in it. I want GTI interior and some more special items. It will get a repaint and it WILL get rustfree!

-----------------------------------------------------
THE PICTURES

I bought it without a front so I had to get one and ordered this one. Light green on a white car... nooo!!

Im currently studying about 200km away from the garage so the car is standing in shame. But on the next weekend I will send some pics and start do some work. I want it started and working for bug run 2012. =)

Edit: Also i cropped the turbo and got hold of some more interesting stuff that will make this car ridicilusly cool! *secrets* Wink

Hey Man, nice to see a syncro as a project base, or even just a syncro, never seen one hey. Good luck with it and stick with it if possible. I am studying whilst working on mine and it takes more time doing it that way, but I tell you from experience, when I finally got mine back on the road, was totally worth it! ALready 2000 miles in a month haha
