My Bora, 2.0 Sport

Exterior
Not done alot, changed the headlights to FK Angeleyes and also added 8000k H7 HID kit to them. Replaced the side repeaters for chrome effect ones to match the headlights. Replaced exhaust backbox with stainless steel.

Interior
Removed all the WALNUT from the interior, replaced with black OE door trims, and replaced the console and ashtray with Carbon Fibre. Replaced the walnut gearknob with a standard black/chrome one.

Fitted MFD ver D headunit utilising the factory fit changer in the boot.

Engine
Nothing performance due to, recent - new headgasket, new waterpump, various new sensors, new timing belt, new plugs and leads... erm sure there is more! Runs perfect now though!

Looking at induction at the moment, some kind of sealed unit as it gets very hot in engine bay, Pipercross Viper top of list at the moment. Hoping to get it chipped also. Would love Neospeed supercharger but as it costs more than the car is worth cant see it happening!

Only use the car for toying around as have a Touran for work purposes (also in pics as dirty as ever!)

A friend of mine used that stick on carbon fibre stuff and did the whole of his dash, was slightly excessive lol.

Those headlights are sweet man

yes the wood seems to be breaking thru, didnt notice until that picture. Going to have to get r32 trim when it crops up on ebay next.

Looking at getting it chipped/mapped next, although you only a bit more, anything is better than nothing. I personally think £200 ish for a proven increased BHP figure is better than £150 for an enclosed filter/induction affair. Though no doubt I will also add induction later too. Had a pipercross viper on my old car so was thinking down that route with a nice cold feed rather than cone in the engine pay sucking in warm air job?

Any suggestions. I see Neuspeed do a induction kit for my motor with K&N filter and custom stainless box but I've heard bad things about K&N and MAF sensors?

I look keeping it standard looking ish so not to draw attention but it definately needs to be lowered slightly. Will prob keep the stock wheels.

your best bet is wait til there is a show on a strip. couple of guys here got they're bora's remapped at show prices.

as for the trim i think you should just remove it and DIY respray it.

Yea I sprayed the trim in my Rover 200 back in the day, will probably do the same with this or find some r32 trim, just used to carbon fibre knocking about in the garage.

What do you mean about show on a strip? Is this like a group buy affair?

not sure of the prices but at a guess, to remap it at any shop it would cost around £300-400 right?

couple of guys here got theirs done for £260.
