You had it lowered... why did you get back to OEM suspension? I'm just curious.

VW spent a fortune getting the car right - sadly the owner before Reaver spent £70 on lowering springs and undid all the hard work VW put into the car.

If I were to lower the car it would be on H&R or KW variant 3 coilovers and only 10/20mm. I wouldn't get a lot of change from £1000 part only. I have been in a car with this set up and it gets the most amazing balance between supple ride and breath taking handling capabilities.

OEM suspension with an uprated rear anti-roll bar is enough for road use though.

If I were a lotto winner, I would get AST suspension. Here is a pic of a E46 M3 CSL, a sight to behold!

This is stuff is £2200 + VAT + fitting, over £3k and the Jetta set up is more........

Welcome back.

Where you been, anywhere nice???

P.S Any chance you can change the 'curser' colour to purple as it is currently black and thus invisible Razz

On going saga. The origonal suspension I have just fitted is no good, and has been replaced with some boge items - then it will have a 4 wheel alignement then I will get a bill for £220.

Total spend on suspension only, £300.00

I still need a new rad, but hopefully the car will be fine for long enough for me to enjoy............

Cheers........

Not the fastest I have owned by a long way, but it's talent's are elsewhere. For a 17 year old car, it really is well balanced, and point to point it can pedal!!!! Very Happy
