New (ish) member - my 90 8v
I've been a member on here for a while but not checked it out for a while until Steve B gave me a nudge..site's looking good!!...anyways heres my motor as it was listed on ebay 18 months ago (got it for £155 , taxed and tested!!)

Then a few more bargains off ebay (wheels, steering wheel,k&n panel filter etc), a bit of graphite grey spray on the indicator lenses, a bit of a clean and fitted the exhaust, closer ratio early gti gearbox and new clutch i'd kept from a previous car:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
since then I've put some german style plates on, replaced the brakes all round, swapped all the gear linkage ball joints for steel ones and serviced it!

what happened?? 8 years of hammering + rot + neglect in later life due to girlfriend using it+child+house with no drive! Had a golf mk3 estate then an audi80 (great car) after that but left the Audi with the gf when she became my ex gf !!
I did like the old thing (car that is) but looking back to its earlier days I think I prefered the small bumpers and the rims polished instead of black.
(I miss those rims like hell )

Yep , thats ye olde stockport pyramid. Its on the way from mine to my work in cheadle (not to be confused with Stokey cheadle)
I live about 5 miles east towards t'hills.
oh and white is the easiest colour to touch up/blend in!
I always regret not buying my mates valver off him. He had a black RE1900 16v with aircon, PAS and heated seats.
It pulled strong ALL the way. he sold it to a lad from Leeds in the end
(it had been in "a touch of frost" with some tsw 3 spokes too )

The sign was for real!! It was in Carnforth up the A6 past Lancaster one sunday late last year. It's one of those price signs where you can move flaps to black out the segments. Probably some drunk villager......well done I say!!

Re: New (ish) member - my 90 8v
does that mean that you could make your own bmp file of your own car and then upload that to your tomtom?
will have a go when i get some spare time. would be pretty good to be able to get your own car.
