My jetta '81 mk1 1.5 LS (16v Dellorto wannabe)
First some pics @ starting phase.
THe day i bought the car my engine blew up and i had to replace it with another one, fixin the old one wasn't an option coz the crankshaft blew through the lower part of the engine

Right now i'm havin electrical problems.
Apparently my alternator makes my battery leak power... i'm not much of an electrical whizz so i'm trying to find solutions by visiting several forums.
I've lowered the car and sprayed the hood black( the whole car will get a black paintjob in the future) Right now my jett looks more liek a Rat but it get's me everywhere....

Re: My jetta '81 mk1 1.5 LS (16v Dellorto wannabe)
Thanks
At the moment I'm putting in mk3 jetta front seats.
My dad's a welder and fixed the passenger seat first so my gf can sit in the car nicely coz the bucketseats are too narrow for her. and the seats are kinda tattered
I'll post some pics of the seats when they're both in

Re: My jetta '81 mk1 1.5 LS (16v Dellorto wannabe)
Had to change the rearend of the seats coz the mk1 seats are 45 or 48cms in the back and the mk3 seats are something like 53 or 54cms.
Just measure the distance between the rear 2 legs of the seats and you'll see.
ANd look carefully b4 you get to cutting and welding coz you probably won't have to cut as much as you'd think.

I'm liking the passat....... Nice color too... kind of a maroon purpleish.... You should keep the jet and let it sit until you actually fix it up.... 'Tis a nice car!
