welcome mate. very cool jetta.

she's just a standard 1.6GL. i keep thinking about an engine swap, possibly a 16v. only time will tell i spose. i nearly put an 8v kjet from a mk2 in about 6 months ago, but was told that it wasn't the greatest engine to run in a mk1 after a swop and that a 16v would work much better. so i didn't bother. i'd also love to slam it a bit more but i've got too many speed ramps at work(it's my daily) for that to be practical really.

tell me about it. i bought my vento from oxford, had to drive it all the way up to south yorkshire. it was very cool on motorway lookin that low but coming out of oxford was a real pain in the ass - literally.

think i nearly smashed the sump at times and i feared that the arches was gunna break off.

i wish i could put it back that low now without scrapping.

car looks kool,i ran a 1.8 k-jet albeit from a mk1 gti donor in one of my mk1 jettas and it was a great car,but id agree with the sentiments of the valver being the better swap

ha! yeah, that was my mates, he's since sold it and last week in a very spooky incident drove past it on the a34 and saw it on the back of a transporter on it's way to the scrappy having had what looked like an engine fire. weird!

i'd love to say that were a bunch of naturists who had an all nude wedding with a hundred pairs of breasts on display, but no, that would just be my inlaws
that's my wifes bridesmaid in the pic and we made her and her husband drive the jetta so we could have as many dubs as possible at the wedding.
