Proud New Jetta owner

Hi all,
my names Tom. im 23 years old from Rayleigh in Essex
I'v owned a 3 door 88 golf GTI 8v for about about 2 years but was never really happy with it , im more of a saloon 4 door kind of guy so when a friend put his jetta up for sale I grabbed it with both hands
The Jetta itself is a MK2 GX 8v on elec carbs . J reg on a 91, Royal blue with a chips & scratches. got a few mods planned but will put a build thread.
looking forward to dubbin the Jetta way!

are you on any of the other vw sites ? deffo know your name from somewhere i think we have spoken before on a site,
lovin the jetta i used to have a mk2 jetta GTi 16v and still miss it now 10 years on, the best car i have ever owned.
