Bumped here from Pistonheads.

Hello. This url was in the comments on their Shed of the Week Jetta GTi. Or was it a GT? Anyways, someone said you would be interested in this - not so long ago I picked up a 89 GTi 16v with a GTi Engineering RE1900 conversion. The poor guy had lost his licence, etc. It's black, has leccy windows, big TSW alloys and, er, AIRCON! Rare or what? Loads of history inc GTi's rolling road printout - 160 brake, I think. Given the time (and no-one has yet) I'll refurb it; it doesn't need much but a driver's door is top of the list; it's got a big dent in it (a kick!). Eastern Europeans had robbed the front big bumper but I've got another off fleabay, some fogs, standard ind lenses (smoked fitted at the mo) and rear lenses (same). No pics as yet - too embarassed! It joins a Sharan TDi, Mk1 Gti, Mk2 GTi and Lupo (all black!) in various states of repair. The Mk2 needs to go really - anyone interested?

Hi Ant, and thanks! Been on several forums but wasn't aware of JOC until you said. Er, it's been parked up in my mate's yard (VW Addictions) for a year - I've actually owned it for about half that time. If I can sell the Golf (1990, 8v GTi, RA's, PAS, C/L, steel sunroof, completely standard, 150k, T&T till April) then there'll be room on the drive for the Jetta!

Notice the kerbed 16" TSWs, rusty discs and missing 16V badges (are they red or blue?) - plenty of work here;

Nice project bud I remember seeing this for sale a couple of years back on club gti, badges are normally red
