Just bought a MK1 Jetta 67,000 miles 2 owners!!!!

Hi All,

I've just bought a lovely mk1 jetta glx in silver with 67,000 miles on it. DHY 740W. 2 owners from new, the second owner being the guy's grandson who left the car in the garage for 4 years!!!! I have all the MOT's to verify the mileage and even the original bill of sale from 1980. The interior is immaculate but the outside needs some attention. Does anyone know where i can get wings, doors etc.... so i can bring her back to her former glory????

You can probably get replacement, pattern wings from Hadrian Panels but I've heard they're not the best fitting panels. Genuine ones have been obsolete for a long time now. Bonnets are the same as Mk1 Golfs, caddys and Cabrios whilst the doors are the same as Caddys and 4-door tin tops so you should have more luck sourcing good,used ones.

Yeah, i couldn't believe it when the guy at work was telling me about it. I'm currently trying to source some bits for it so hopefully it will be ready for next year

I'm after all 4 doors, N/S front wing and lower front panel. I'm not in a rush to get them at the moment (unless they're cheap!!) cuz i'm sorting out my MK2 Golf ready for Bristol Volksfest. Once the Golf is done, i'll be straight onto the Jetta

I'm also after the end piece for the drivers door upper strip (the flat bit) if anyone has one?

good luck mate i'm after 2 doors for mine lol. Do you know if they are the same as mk1 golf doors? lower front panels are non existant, front wings are available at big boys toys for £62.95 part no: 161-821-021/C,
havent a clue about the door strip but you could try big boys toys or crazyquiffs for that
