Just got a jetta, what next?

Hi I'm Tim and I live in Swindon. I've had MK2 golfs for years but I finally got round to getting a jetta this weekend. It's a 1.6d cl in blue, I bought it on a whim and it took me a day to drive to get it and then a day to get it home. Bad news is now it's sat on my drive and I can't drive it yet. But when you see it you'll know why

Hello mate how's it going? Thanks I've never seen this colour on a MK2 either. I sold my 16v polo and then went to holland to get this. I'm only round the corner from you (westlea) so if you wanna pop over to take a look just give me a shout. When it's registered and MOT'd I'll be bringing it to the first dublands meet in Swindon in feb. How's yours going? Are you still running it as a daily?

Off the road at the mo spent all winter on the drive doing some engine detailing hope to be back as my daily from march

The paint code is L239 Gentian blue. It was a colour from the old type 1 and type 3 buses.

I've got a new set of wheels to put on tomorrow and I'll lower it next week.
I'll be removing the tow bar and painting the lower part of the bumper next week aswell.

I need to get it looking pretty for UD next month

I've put these on for today and once the car is lowered I'll be quite happy with them. I was offered them for a steal so I couldn't say no

Good progress, with some lowering and some paint on the bumpers its almost job done

Thanks guys. The car is now lowered but I think the back is to low. So I'm going to raise the back by 15mm
I've changed the discs, pads and shoes and given it a service. Just need to have the cambelt changed.
Yeah the wheels are off an Ibiza, they were £60 with tires so how could I say no

that is a beautiful car, i wish i could find a coupe that i could afford lol. it looks so much nicer now its lowered. i recon a 10mm lift at the rear will do it mate

I had the day off yesterday so I got busy with the bumper. Just needs a quick rub down and some clear coat and it's all good

That looks like a totally different car with the paint and lowering.
Wasn't sure of the colour at first if im honest - but lovingit now.

Thanks, It's going to look better when the splitter is back on. I've just got the back bumper to paint now. I'll be taking it to gti spring festival at santa pod so I want it all looking pretty for that

I sometimes work in Oxford so you might see it parked on the oxpens road.

Yeah it's up for £1995. My 4 motion cam chain tensioner needs changing.

So I've put them both up for sale, either I sell the Jetta to pay for the repair or I sell the golf and buy something new for work.
