help with engine!

hi all, im new to the forum game so if i have posted this in the wrong topic/thread ect go easy on me! my old mk1 has been through some tough times of late and is looking for a new engine, its a 1981 1.3 gf carb fed beastie, thanks and would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions on where i could find one

As for the engine I think u will find the 1300 engine will be the same as a Polo or Golf (1 or 2) 1300 and they should be around still, even if its a complete car it should be wurth it
