Lowrider!
Hey, Joined your club at about midnight, been looking for a Vento club for ages but never managed to find one! Didn't think to type Jetta into google! But, i made it! I have a 1995 M Vento 1.8 GL, Lowered 40 MM on Jamex Sports / Shock Kit, Oval Exhaust, K&N, Wolfsburg Bits here and there, sat on 17" alloys at the min, collecting my 16" tomorrow, yes, going back a size (Cant stop the rubbing - can anyone help) Crystal rear lights, VR6 Splitter - waiting for arches, and so on....... Would like to visit the rest of the shows this year, inspired by the RED GUTTED OUT R32? VENTO at Gti International, i blame you for me buying a Vento, but, thats probably a good thing, you pulled me away from the Jap Side.

A bit of a picture trail, just so you can see how i have changed it - cant find the pic of it on standard rims, maybe my computer deleted it as it was soooooooooo ugly! notice the smaller rims now, not the RS8 alloys i ordered, far from them, but, they turn inside my arches without trying to rub a hole and get inside my car. new pics coming soon with arches, splitter, bonnet struts and 1.8 20v turbo conversion (or did i just make that last one up??) To be honest, i cant afford the full engine conversion yet, anyone have any ideas on how easy it would be to fit a 1.8 16v from the MK2 Golf Gti, or just getting the 2.0 Vento engine? Any advice would be good. Dont really want huge power at the min, done all the power stuff already, just would prefer a little more grunt for climbing hills / speedbumps.

Re: Lowrider!
Anyone know how to fit the VR6 front splitter, have limited light to do it in until the weekend, does the original splitter need to come off, if so how do i do this??? it looks ace when i line i up against the car - but i think it will act as a road cleaner.

Re: Lowrider!
nice car mate.
does it not just have screws on both sides of the splitter where is folds under arches and clips together in the middle.

Re: Lowrider!
As far as i am aware it should just clip into place like the old one infact im fairly sure you just have to unclip the old one and as manzi said it just clips together in the middle
