Hi,

Thought I'd sign up to the Jetta Owners club for some advice and general VW knowledge, this VW Vento has been owned by my family for 10+ years. Last year I was handed the keys, and have been too busy to really sort some areas out, which quite frankly have seen better days.

Heres some pics:

Its a VW Vento 1.9 TDI GL

Mullberry leather seats.

The gearstick which is in desperate need of attention, I was advised on another forum that it would most likely need a re-trim. Something I am not too keen on having done (short-term) I would prefer to find a replacement in the original leather colour, anybody have one?

Part of the Side Skirt has been missing for months, it seems it went to a VW dealer and since then has been missing, again anybody with a replacement part? or where I could get a replacement fitting? The image below is what I need.

Thanks, I look forward to the community!

Initially I just wanted some extra performance out of it, which I still would like (see my thread) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

But after researching some Ventos the "Dub" look seemed a popular choice, this look has grew on me, but I still want to be able to use it everyday without hassle - So no "How low can you go" antics here.

First things is to sort out the exterior and interior areas which need attention - some visible areas of rust, then engine tuning , afterwards Plans long term will be Wheels ( I love those Scmidt wheels [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Coilovers, improved sound system (nothing too flashy).....

I want to keep it as clean lined and simple / Subtle as possible.

nice to see another vento diesel on here,

ive been looking everywhere for the same cream leather for mine
but with no luck yet,

the plastic sill cover end piece you are looking for is the same as a mk3 golf gti one (3 door or 5 door) they are all the same,

will be loads of them in the breakers yards,
