hello - another newbie, bora content

hello chaps, i got a flyer on my screen at stonor park so thought i'd join up. i'm on ukmkiv's mostly and still a bit on clubpolo and scn.

i bought a 2.0 8v APK white bora in standard form 4 months ago and have done a few bits to it. i have a AUM 20vt sat in my garden awaiting me to pull my finger out and drop it in.

i have a build thread going on ukmkiv's if you want to see my little bora and the work so far.....

Just read through your link. That is awesome mate, i love the (marmite) lights and im sure it will be copied. Interior is sweet as it gets and the car in white is stunning.

Hope the engine conversion goes well and your knee is on the mend.

Oh my god! The Bora looks gorgeous and I can't believe you done an engine swap in just one day.

I honestly think you need to get your ass up to our house and show Popeye how's it done!! His mk2 VR conversion has been going on far too long and he needs a swift kick up the butt!!!

thanks fella's welded the dp today and made up 3/4 of the exhaust, just hope it won't be too loud!

right the bora has been up and running for a week now and i love it.

i thought i'd expand on my introdution, i spent a few years as a mechanic but now just do my own projects, i've had around 40 vw's - i've done lots of conversions in the past - mk2 golf vr6, mk1 golf g40, mk1 golf with mk2 engine and efi, polo 6n g40, polo gt - g40 and apart from the bora most recently built the uk's first mk5 polo gti with g40 running gear.

i'll ad some pics of my old cars at some point although most were lost when my hard drive burned out.

hope i can give some useful input to this site and i'm sure the site will grow as the saloon is becoming ever more popular.

one hell of an achievement that is, 1 day for a full swap out! love those headlights man look amazing!
