Just bought a VW Bora today, liking it alot.

Bit unsure of what engine is in it though.

Its a 1999 1.9tdi, on the engine cover it says TDI and the I is red, anyone shed any light on which version it is?

Good choice of motor, should be 110 or 115bhp and others stated as above.

hello mate it's either 110 or 115 bhp if the badge is stock.
(1999 is 110bhp I guess)

'99 model year could be 110 or 115 if it's a 5 speed box it's a 110 or 90 , 6 speed box 115 or 130 hope this helps

if not stick your engine code up and i'll tell you for sure from ETKA
(should be on log book or sticker in boot on left hand side under carpet)

Thanks for the welcomes, found out its the tdi 110, im from East Yorkshire, just covered a nice 600mile trip in the bora without a fault.
