JETTATTACK
Hey guys,
The Golf 16v SLEEPER has gone to it's new owner, and I have taken on the Atlas Grey Jetta that my ma gave up on just over a year ago. She hit a pothole in Reading and the lower balljoint popped out of the OS wheel hub and tore the inner CV joint off the end of the driveshaft! Yes the whole joint, not just the boot
I still maintain she was overtaking an AMG round a corner and lost control of the power drift but she denies all allegations It's got a new balljoint, driveshaft and wishbone on there now.
Anyways, this is how she stands. I've been down recently to turn her over as she is now my new daily one new battery and an oil change later and she's doing ok. Piersburg carb is NOT FTW though.

Like the red pinstriping here. Might try to revive it.

Lacquer has cracked in a couple of places but generally paint is good.

Changed rocker gasket when I did oil change as it seemed to be weeping out onto both manifolds (non cross-flow engine)

Inside there is more grey velour than a housewives jogging contest

Mum's kept it pretty tidy
All 4 sills are close to spotless too, which is a huge bonus for me:

That's about it really, no plans other than MOT and tax at the mo...but might possibly do something later. This is gonna help a lot:
