Car history

That's me had the Jetta for a week now, 400 miles and 45mpg will do for me as most of that was short journeys. I was going to do a for and against list but I haven't found anything I don't like about the car yet, it's probably the best car I've ever bought.

It got me thinking about the cars I'd owned before.

And not forgetting Jack, who's not really mine but I'll be the nice, careful lady driver who'll be accompanying him to next years shows!! Get that VR in!!!!!!! Wahoooooooooooooooo!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

1998 renault clio (first car for daily use....wrote it off nov last year)
1999 renault clio (replacement....also wrote it off, may this year)
1996 vw caddy van (bought for work...use daily....)
1989 ve jetta 1.8 (bought in august...daily driver aswell......introduction into veedub life :p )

now ive been bitted by the veedub bug...ill never go back to french cars....

No...itl all be vag or bmw from now on....with the odd execption to a japaneese 4x4 or two....

My turn, in order.

1988 Ford Fiesta 1.1 pop plus in blue (freebie). got scrapped so my old man had room for a skip.
2001 Honda X8R (50cc moped) (stolen recovered, never ran right though). sold for £50 to a mate
1986 Ford Fiesta 1.0 pop in red (freebie). got towed
1982 Ford Fiesta 1.1 Ghia in Beige (bargain of the century ). Written off by drink driver doing 90odd
1996 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 in purply blue (with GSi interior) (my dad gave me this). got towed
1986 Ford Fiesta 1.0 pop in white (payed too much for this one just coz I wanted it for ages, was crap!). got towed
1997 Suzuki Baleno 1.6GS in blue (fair price). 2 blown engines, sold for parts
1988 Volkswagen Transporter panel van 2.1 auto in blue (payed for the remaining tax on it from my grandad). sold (got a mk caddy as part ex)
1995 Astra 2.0 GSi (last of the redtops) in white(was happy with what I payed for the amount of fun it was). swapped for volvo
1999 Volvo V40 2.0 auto in blue. sold for a lot less than it was worth, lost alot on that
1988 Honda H100 (100cc bike) in blue (£20). sold for a massive profit (£350)
1988 Volkswagen Caddy Pickup 1.6 diesel in white(took as part ex). rotten, but sold at a profit
1996 Ford Fiesta 1.8 LX (diesel) in green. still got
