lol thanks all, got some teledials to experiment with for my dub too...
As soon as i get some adapters, gonna give these a try and experiment with some colour (colour coded centres with polished lips or something)

Re: ...and another.
lol, you run a staggered set too? (borbets?)
Front winds down really low, but the rear is terrible for rubbing + my arches arent rolled yet so you can imagine the scraping..

Re: ...and another.
they call it a muscle car stance.
you should get your arches rolled. you can buy kits that people have made from skateboard wheels, car jack and other stuff. works all the same. cheaper too.

Re: ...and another.
Yeah?? Sounds interesting that, ideally (im sure this applies to most) i wanna do as much to my car as i physically can (mainly for satisfaction and cost!) so a kit would be cool. Obviously with the rears being 9" wide, the arches may need to be rolled and flared - is this the case with your car? or you just roll your arches?

Re: ...and another.
i don't actually know what was done to my arches as i bought it like this:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
rear now stands on standard springs coz i couldn't get over bumps without scraping.

Re: ...and another.
Looks like theres been bit of body work done there..
1. my rears poke out past the arch about 15mm, yours are tucked
2. could be stock on a vr im not sure but you arches look like theyve been pulled slightly further out
3. Your rear bumper looks like its part of the arch (the lines of the bumper run smooth into the arch) that aint comin off lol
Think thats what mine needs - passengers in the rear are murder at the minute!!
Were your bumpers smooth to begin with? i cant find a bodyshop local to me who will smooth my bumpers, ive explained but not sure they know what i mean

Re: ...and another.
forgot to mention, there is a fibreglass extension, i'd say about 15 mm aswell but i've never really measured it. rear bumper is blended into arch.
Oh another thing, i've got standard springs and fitted 2 sets spring adjusters to springs, also known as caravan stops. this helps the back end from reaching the tyres.
bumpers were never smoothed. i'd like to do it coz i've found that all you need is another bumper of same material, lets say a golf, cut a strip off to fit in gap and melt it together (or also known as plastic weld) with soldering iron, bit of sanding and filler to finish it off. alternatively, you could just filler it all.

Re: ...and another.
Thats right yeah.. i dont want to delete that line though, i want to rid the vento of that texture which is on the dark plastic bits like on front / rear bumper and doors etc..
I pretty much want them to look like yours do (at the same time probably smooth the number plate indents and delete the indicators / dummy fog cover.

Re: ...and another.
i think its a case of doing half the job yourself, like sanding it and priming it, then the body shop guys will realise what your talking about coz it will become an easy job then. most of em are in for quick and fast money - slackers.
the side strips come off easy enough, maybe worth tryin yourself with rattle can.
as for deleting stuff on front, i've seen people do the same thing, cut up a rear bumper to fill holes.

YES agreed.
Im going round a few scrappies tomorrow looking for a nearside hub so while im there il see if i can get a front and il have a crack at smoothing it, already got a spare rear.
Have you got black sill covers on your vr? look plastic..in a good way?
