Regional Meetings
I was taking with reaver about local meetings at santa pod and he didn't think this would be a problem. So i'm just wondering if any others of you out there would consider that to be a good idea. I know i'm in Oxford and have noticed other members around this way ie Northampton, Glos, Reading etc so do any of you fancy it. If we lead the way then other areas may do the same, we could then have cross area meets and then maybe one large summer club meet, Getting ahead of myself now! Sorry just keen to get together as I won't be able to make the last 2 shows of the season.

Re: Regional Meetings
its like a 2hr trek for me but really depends on what happens on that weekend. if i have a tough start to weekend, the journey will put me off.
and i do go, this may convince others to go.

Re: Regional Meetings
I was hoping we could arrange some local stuff so that people could get together more often like once a month or something, which I now would be difficult for all of us but if we all had different meets in different areas going, then every now and then we could travel to different areas. Don't fancy traveling up to scotland myself once every month.

Re: Regional Meetings
Totally agree. Every now and then it would be good to do multi area meetings. But as the season ends end of august (ish) and theres not many shows during the winter months, it would be good to arrange something.

Re: Regional Meetings
I should have posted this in the jetta owners club meets rather than just the memebers only section, so that everyone could view it, shouldn't I? Or is it just that no-one is interested in getting together for local meets!

Re: Regional Meetings
Great idea, the more meets the better. Santa is a cuople of hours so I wouldn't do it to often but every 2 or 3 months would be good!

Re: Regional Meetings
Hi welcome to the club and thanks for the input. Glad someone else has commented on this as I'm not sure I put the idea across too well. I was just thinkin that as the club grows there will be more and more people closer together around the country and that maybe they would like to locally once a month (or something) meet up with each other (small gathering kind of thing) and then every couple of months travel to a meet in another area.

Re: Regional Meetings
Hi glad a couple of other people have responded to this and would be interested. I think as manzi said its something we need to get together and talk about maybe at one of the meets and start to sort something out. Hoping to make ed38 at the end of Aug so maybe we could discuss something then.
As long as I can find my missing engine I sould be able to get there. At the moment like some of the other members my engine bay is abit empty so busy trying to sort that out which is why I havn't been on line for a while.

Re: Regional Meetings
Thanks for the link mate but I am thinking of doing a 2lt conversion so really looking for a cheap 2lt audi lump apparentley. Been told that sticking 8v head on it will be easy so going to try it.

Re: Regional Meetings
Evening folk. I live about 1/2 hour from Wellingborough and could easily come and say hello. Would yous allow maybe a golf or 2 to come along aswell? I could sellotape cardboard boxes to the back of them so at least there silloheute looked like a Jetta.
