My 1.6TX
Well here's a pic:

I've not done anything to it yet, I'll probably keep it pretty stock as it seems a shame to muck about with it too much. It's done 168,000 miles and has a service history going back years. I got it in Dereham on Saturday and if anyones after another jetta he also had a 1.8 Auto in for £425.

Well, I can't beleive it's been nearly a year since I got the jetta and posted on here!
It's got a new MOT (thanks to Shire autos in Watton), it just needed one bulb and new anti-roll bar mounts. I've fitted ebay special coilovers (TA Technics I think), (8V)GTi discs and goodridge hoses and mainly just kept it on the road.
I've got a weber DMTL and a GTi cam waiting to go on, probably next month along with a new cam belt and a service.
Here's some pics of it before the coilovers:

I can't go much lower or I won't get over the speed bumps on the estate or at work!

Re: My 1.6TX
Cheers for the comments. The coilovers seem pretty good for me though I've not got much experience of other makes. The rear end is pretty near to its highest setting so I could go a lot lower but then I would just be able to drive around the block They have stood up to the norfolk roads pretty well although the threads look like they are corroding a bit. I'm planning on cleaning them up and seeing how bad they are. The ride quality isn't too bad although my car share buddy may disagree, he is used to more modern rides!
I live pretty near to shires which was very handy when the exhaust fell off my wifes' car last week, it's been an expensive month Luckily they are pretty reasonable and managed to fit us in, just got to let my bank balance recover now!
