Different is what it's all about fella! Vr's are a bit naff nowadays, abf's are ok but are only na and i could'nt afford a 20vt, so just kinda fitted what ever i could get hold of.

Cheers for the appreciation lads, it was'nt that hard to do really, I could do the same to a mk1 or vento if antone wanted.
Any one want me to do a step by step guide to how to do the conversion? It isn't a short list of jobs!

Cheers tommy, like the nooooooooooooooooooooo!
It took a couple of months to get to where it is now, only gotta make an exhaust system and chuck a cambelt kit on then it's off for an mot.
I'm pretty suprised no one else has done this conversion, weirdly it were'nt as hard i thought it would be, plus you got the choice of the f28 6spd box to. Im guessing you guys do the whole run what you brung at the pod? Would be cool ass funk to see more than one jetta in one place! The guy i got the lump off told me its between 250-270 bhp so that should be fun!

That looks like a really neat package, I think if it wasn't for many VW's sharing common mounting alot more people would do this. The Vauxhall red top are one of the best 2.0L valver engines and this turbo one must be awesome. Especially with the 6 speed box. Very impressive.

Sorry bout the late reply, I don't have any video of it yet as it's not quite done yet, my plan is to get it done by 13th of july ready for volksfest at northweld airfield in essex.
I could do a write up of the whole installation as you requested it won't be a small thread thats for sure! i'd like to build another maybe in a mk2 golf or mk1 jetta if any one wanted?
I may take it to gti this year not sure when it is tho. It's running a stock ecu but has a remapped chip and boost controller fitted to run up to 18psi, or so i was told by the guy i got the lump from!

Mate, that is pretty mental. Gonna be balls out too. I had an astra gsi redtop and that was rapid, Ive had alot of rides in cavalier/calibra turbos and they are just unreal. There used to be a Vauxhall breakers yard in Knockholt, Kent but its gone now (I was there saturday boy back in the day).
