Hi guys, I'm hoping a mk2 jetta in the very near future. I've currently got a r56 cooper s for sale and as soon as that's gone I'm hoping to hunt properly for one. The reason I want a jetta, well I'm a family man so need to cart the kids about, yeah right! Seriously I had a mk1 golf driver 1.3 on bike carbs, changed the engine and fitted a g60 from my makes mk2 golf. Fell in love with the supercharged whine. Got rid and bought something more economical for driving 350 miles to work each Sunday and back the Friday. That's when I bought the mini. It's not got the same excitement. Don't get me wrong it's quick like. But the turbo power ain't as nice as supercharged. Anyways now I've moved nearer work I want a jetta, at first I thought mk1 tin top but nah fancy something different. Don't really fancy a golf again. Want something bigger. So really I am just wondering where to go hunting for a mk2 jetta and what engine options are available, also what to look for?
